Malene Børresen is a member of the Greenlandic infectious disease investigation group at the Department of Epidemiology Research at Statens Serum Institut, Copenhagen, Denmark. Malene Børresen’s primary research field is viral hepatitis in Greenland including epidemiology and burden of disease, molecular epidemiology, outbreak investigations and vaccination coverage based on field studies, national registries, and biobanks in Greenland. Furthermore, Malene Børresen is engaged in projects involving other infectious diseases in Greenland, as well as in a collaborative work with scientists abroad on viral hepatitis in the Arctic.
